Aaron came from a dysfunctional family. His parents loved him and his sister, but they didn’t love each other.

He had a lot of confidence, but he lacked self esteem.

A lot of this was based on negative self talk. A lot of chatter going on “up here” [in his mind].

All of this set him on a course for being a rebel.

At a very young age Aaron was looking for answers and he gravitated towards his dad who ran a successful business.

He learned early on about being independent and he know he was not employable.

He did have some jobs and even had a marionette show where he was a ventriloquist. He sold candy and as he was riding a BMX bike, he also had an extra one to rent out to other kids.

Over the years as he has become more “free” in his mind, he has learned how not to be codependent on others. He learned how to release the need for extrinsic stimulation. To be radically responsible and “self sourced” for everything he needed in life.

How did he learn this?

He just emptied what he estimates to be about 500 books from storage. He loves to pick up a book and read, even just for 5 or 10 minutes. And he has multiple books going on at once.

Leaders are readers.

He learned from mentors.

Aaron’s dad’s business was a coffee supply business.

He would supply office parks, industrial parks, and restaurants.

Wherever they served coffee in those industrial sized coffee pots, his dad went.
